Here you can see some of my illustration work. While I am known for my realistic pet portraits, I love to get out of the box once in a while and paint imaginative people, places, creatures, and things with some kind of story/interaction. “The Gardener” illustrates a story about a man who grows more than plants in his garden. The Frog and the Princess was commissioned as a special wedding gift for a bride who finally found her frog prince. Pieces like this allow for a little more expression and creativity than formal portraiture and require their own display.
Paintings where characters are interacting, not drawn/painted from real life references or pre-posed photos, and where objects and backgrounds are included, take far more time than the average pet portrait does because (mostly) I am asked to paint from one photo as-is. Therefore, these images will cost more.
